How to Work The Federation of American Hospitals Meeting

by News 26. February 2009 01:10
  • The Federation of American Hospitals (FAH) will hold their Annual Public Policy Conference and Business Exposition at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC, March 1-4, 2009. Why is this important to you?  Supplier partners will join GPOs and IDNs for almost three full days of networking opportunities. The Federation strives to provide a venue for a productive work environment, as well as a good educational environment, for healthcare buyers and suppliers. This is accomplished through educational sessions, exposition time and social functions. For the suppliers, the meeting is a real treat and value, as the buying group representatives (customer) is working the exposition Service Center (booth). This format does two things:
  • All supplier companies have equal access to the GPOs and IDNs.
  • The Federation Business Exposition is a “no product” meeting.  This meeting represents great savings for the supplier versus the traditional meeting since there is no cost for shipping and setting up a booth or freight for bringing in product and/or supplies.  This is aimed at keeping down the cost of participation and for contracting transparency.
  •  The Federation values the participation and support of buyers and suppliers. If you have any questions regarding the premier healthcare meeting in the country, please contact the Federation staff (501/661-9555) or bmoneypenny@fah.org.  They are very knowledgeable and willing to spend the time with you to make certain you understand “how to get the most bang for your buck” at this meeting.
